One Dresser Two Looks - Triangles Revealed

For a piece that was originally unnoticeable this dresser turned into quite a conversation starter. It took a lot of sanding, taping, painting, peeling off the tape but the effort was well worth it.
Considering it has a rather specific look to it I decided to show you how you can easily incorporate it it in adult and kids' spaces alike. Sneak Peek Of What Is To Come

The dresser that these drawers belong to may not look like much at the moment. I almost didn't notice it as I walked past it, but then it occurred to me that the fact that it doesn't have any drawer pulls or profiling renders itself to endless possibilities. First two drawers are done, 4 more and the body to go. Aiming for a full reveal on Sunday.

Robin's Egg Painted Desk with Built-In Shelf

Between home improvements (one major one on the go and to be revealed when completed) and custom orders I managed to squeeze in one quick desk makeover. Yellow Tallboy Dresser

Lana insisted on "cleaning" the dresser for the shoot

I have been working feverishly on some custom orders lately and didn't have too much time to work on  my own pieces. On top of this my sister, her husband and niece are visiting from Australia and I want to spend some time with them. Between work and being a good sister/aunt and spending time with my peeps I did manage to squeeze in this beauty. Tavern Green Dresser

If, like me, you have been snowed in for the past six months, green may be just the colour you are eager to see. Painted with milk paint using only natural pigments and ingredients, this dresser is guaranteed to bring a piece of nature into your home. I chose to pair it with jute covered knobs to keep it on the casual side, but if you want to jazz it up some more just simply switching the knobs will do it in an instant. Serpentine Dresser Painted in Slate Milk Paint

Elegant yet loaded with fun and character this dresser is built of solid wood and as sturdy as they come with an impressive amount of storage. Painted with milk paint is slate colour and protected with several coats of Danish oil and furniture polishing wax it will resist any kind of spill.
All drawers are dovetailed and slide perfectly smoothly.
There are small chips on two of the drawers but they don't compromise the structure of the piece neither do they take away from its appeal. Older and preloved furniture often has them.  For dimensions and shipping info check my Etsy store.

Grey Sideboard

This sideboard is the sibling of the mustard yellow hutch I revealed last week. As mentioned, the colour choices for each piece could not be further apart, yet if placed in the same space they would work well together but at the same time "matchines" would not be an issue. Deep Blue Tall-boy Dresser

This tallboy has undergone a bit of a transformation that turned it from a boring fixture to a must have home accessory. Painted in soldier blue milk paint and outfitted with four new knobs on the top two drawers it is at the same time sophisticated and playful. Currently listed in my Etsy shop it will be a matter of days before it finds a new home.

Pumpkin Orange Dresser

Here is the first one of two dressers that I announced would be revealed by the end of the week. This one was painted in pumpkin coloured shade of milk paint and accessorized with contrasting turquoise drawer pulls. It is listed in my Etsy shop and available for purchase locally, but it can also be shipped anywhere in North America. I will keep the reveal of the second one for Monday. Mustard Yellow Tall Boy Dresser - Milk Paint Project

The moment I saw this dresser yellow was the colour that I envisioned for it. I tried to imagine it in green, white or blue instead but the yellow kept popping back and once the brush dipped in mustard yellow milk paint touched the wooden surface, its destiny was sealed. When I brought the dresser home I realized that some of the original pulls were missing so I had to substitute them with something I already had. The difference seems apparent but still subtle enough.
The dresser is now listed in my Etsy shop and in the next few days it will be jointed by two new ones that I am very excited to show you.

Milk and Latex Paint Combo Piece

This dresser marries the old with the new. Old world lines are complemented with the modern design. Base colour is milk paint and the triangles in white, deep grey and gold are painted on with latex paint. A touch of unexpected design has brought this dresser to the 21st century and then some. All pulls are original to the piece.
And as my amazement with milk paint continues to grow, there are two more pieces in the works. Both yellow and one of which will be revealed later this week.

New Milk Paint Project - Green Dresser

And so my love affair with milk paint continues. This is the latest completed peace also featured in my Etsy store. And this is not where it all ends my friends, the next peace to be completed will feature a milk/latex paint combo, something I will be working on this afternoon and hopefully have ready by early next week.
