Slate Sideboard
When I first applied the paint to this piece and it was all one solid colour I thought I was done. I was happy with the way the paint transformed the piece. It was late in the day when I finished painting it and I left the finishing touches for next morning. When I saw it the next day it somehow appeared incomplete and as if it was missing something. I looked at what other paint colours I had on hand and selected three that would add enough punch but not overwhelm the base and used them to create the pattern on each of the doors. The pattern gives the piece uniqueness and an added dimension that it wouldn't have otherwise. For more info on the piece, please check the listing in my Etsy store.
